Project Summary

These homeowners were ready to update the garage and what better way than installing an epoxy floor and repainting all of the walls and cabinets?! The garage floor was showing its age with several areas of spalling and 3-4 large cracks. It was very important to the homeowner to get these damaged areas patched and coated to prolong the life of the floor. The new aesthetics of the floor was just an added benefit, however, with the new clean look of the floor it also made since to go ahead and repaint the walls and cabinets in the garage to freshen them up and create a new updated look!

Project Scope

  • Day 1: Patch the cracked and damaged areas of concrete and grind the complete garage floor, creating a concrete surface profile for the coating to adhere to. Install the Epoxy base coat and decorative flakes.
  • Day 2: Scrape the flakes and vacuum the floor clean. Install (1) coat of clear polyaspartic finish coating to the complete garage floor
  • Day 3: Disassemble the cabinets, scuff sand the cabinets and apply (2) coats of finish paint to them
  • Day 4: Patch the walls as needed and apply (2) finish coats of paint to them. Clean space accordingly
